Cornwall Marine Network (CMN) was established in 2005 and supports local marine businesses to grow. We talk to our members to understand the barriers they face in growing their business, and use this evidence of demand from across the local marine sector to bid for project funds which then pay for the staff and grants that can overcome these obstacles and help the businesses grow.

CMN is also a training provider and delivers apprenticeships, in the workplace, in a wide range of subjects. The Cornwall Apprenticeship Agency (CAA) is a subsidiary of CMN and offers a specialist recruitment service. So we can help a business identify any skills gaps, recruit an apprentice and deliver the apprenticeship; the whole package. CMN are committed to supporting its member businesses and the marine sector as a whole, we are proud to be a SWANN Apprenticeship Ambassador.

Corserv is a diverse group of Cornwall Council owned businesses, providing infrastructure, engineering, housing, jobs, social care, facilities management inward investment, transport and other essential services to Cornwall and beyond.

The Eden Project is an educational charity and social enterprise. Our global mission is to create a movement that builds relationships between people and the natural world to demonstrate the power of working together for the benefit of all living things.

We have apprentices across a wide range of teams on our site studying a variety of subjects. Every year we are regularly approached by multiple teams with requests for apprentices in different disciplines as they can see the benefits having apprentices brings.

Being in SWAAN gives us the chance to access a whole range of other opportunities across the South West, so much so that one of our current apprentices is now a SW-AAN Apprentice Ambassador.

Pendennis is an internationally renown shipyard for the building and refitting of luxury superyachts, based in Falmouth and with a yard near Barcelona.

We have been at the forefront of apprenticeship delivery for over 20 years and Apprenticeships have helped us to grow from a local SME to being a large employer. We continue to invest in apprentices and are passionate about creating opportunities for young people, especially where it supports growth. We will always champion the benefits of apprentices to business as a career pathway.

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is the main provider of acute and specialist care services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. It serves a population of around 430,000 people, a figure that can increase significantly with visitors during the busiest times of the year. We employ approximately 5,000 staff and Apprenticeships are integral to the development of both new and existing employees.

With over 300 careers on offer within the NHS, there are lots of opportunities for us to utilise apprenticeships for both clinical and non-clinical roles. As an employer provider we are also able to deliver some Apprenticeships in-house using the excellent facilities within our Knowledge Spa.  At the Trust, we are passionate about Apprenticeships and the value they bring to both the individual and the organisation and we are delighted to be a SWAAN Apprenticeships Ambassador.
