Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership is private sector-led and in partnership with public sector its role is to drive the economic strategy for the area, determining priorities and undertaking activities to drive growth and create meaningful, well paid local jobs.

Our Employment and Skills Strategy acknowledges the importance of Apprenticeships in growing and developing our local workforce to meet current and future skills demands. And we are passionate about the benefits that Apprenticeships can bring to both individuals and employers. Our staff also have considerable expertise having worked on the funding and policy of Apprenticeships, but also directly with employers, careers advisers, schools, individuals and Apprenticeship providers.

At the Cornwall Apprenticeship Agency (CAA) we promote apprenticeships in Cornwall. We also offer a service to businesses who are interested in growing their workforce with local talent, helping them to understand the benefits of apprenticeships, and ensuring the right Standard is matched to their role. As an ATA, we can also provide an HR & Payroll service to help connect more SMEs with apprenticeships.

As part of our commitment to providing a high quality apprenticeship experience, we can support potential apprentices throughout the recruitment process by providing advice and guidance followed by mentoring and coaching. We are passionate about apprenticeships, and can see the many transferrable skills which allow apprentices to progress in a career. The CAA is particularly proud to be an Ambassador of SWAAN, the South West Apprenticeships Ambassador Network.

The Devon and Cornwall Training Providers Network Ltd (DCTPN), is a not-for-profit organisation which covers Devon and Cornwall, providing a voice for the training provider sector, as well as giving practical support and partnership opportunities for members. Passionate about life long learning and education, DCTPN Managing Director Sharron Robbie, was awarded an MBE for her services to Apprenticeships & Skills.
